Tonight Sucker Punch's Brand new game title called, "inFamous" Gameplay will be shown TONIGHT, also you will see Bioshock on PS3, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, E3 Resistance 2 trailers, and prince of persia ( two minute ) gameplay video on Spike Tv and possibly GOS T.V, so stay tuned for the footage.

MK Vs DC Universe Impressions..

Ive followed the MK franchise sense the first Mortal Kombat game which was back in 1992 and I must say when I first heard this, I thought it was the worst idea ever. I was so pissed off at the fact MK would do something like this. No fatalities, no gore that’s not MK. If there’s no gore, blood or limbs and brains flying everywhere that’s not MK, lets be real. DC, I mean come on couldn’t they get another good opponent?Well I was wrong, they say never judge a book by its cover and that’s exactly what I did. This game looks great, the graphics are nice, the characters have some adjustments to be made, but I must say I'm really looking forward to when this game hits the selves come this fall. From Ed Boom himself, he said “were looking at a 20 man roster 10 from DC’s side and 10 From Mk side.” I was excited, I was thinking of so many people. I mean lets be real guys who doesn’t want to see scorpion decapitate batman! That’s all I have for now and I'll be back come E3 when they announce 4 more characters.

Lips vs. Singstar

We tend to focus on primarily Playstation news, but I thought this was real news worthy especially with E3 in a few days from now. XBOX is talking of releasing a karaoke game that will be in direct competition with Singstar. We always report the truth here and if they implement things correctly I believe it will surpass what Singstar is doing. Already we can see the wireless mics which will be interactive, and if they enable the game to where you can sing your downloaded music from your hard drive I'm sold. Above are the first photos of the mics for Xbox 360 developed by Japanese studio iNiS (Elite Beat Agents). We hope to get more information of Lips during E3.

PAIN! Amusement Park

PAIN! The physics based game that is downloadable on the PSN store has a New Video of Amusement Park, featuring new multiplayer and trophies on GAMETRAILERS. I have yet to buy this game and I've been dying to get it and I haven't got around to it. When this update and Map pack comes I will definitely get this game.

Why PS3 games install

The reason as to why a certain amount of Playstation 3 games require an install. Its because its quicker to read the game data from the hard drive rather than the Blu-Ray disc. This also means shorter loading times during gameplay. "I bet your now thinking does that mean every game will be installed to the hard drive", the answer is no. Look at Call of Duty 4 and Uncharted Drake’s Fortune, they didn’t require an install and ran fantastically well. Game developers are working around this by taking a more pro-active approach to Blu-Ray’s data transfer technology. Some are working with streaming methods that load data while your playing, others are duplicating frequent required data around the disc so it can be located and loaded up faster.

Chief software architect at Eutechnyx, Dr Andrew Perella says:
“The biggest benefit of loading data from hard drive as opposed to Blue-ray is that the seek times are lower. Games that make use of lot of user customisations are hit hard by this as the developer cannot know ahead of time what will need to be loaded”

Pete Hines of Bethesda, the vice president of public relations and marketing says:
“we get around it by doing caching to the hard drive behind the scenes. And yes, we do have more than one copy of data on the disc in different locations to make the streaming process faster.”

LittleBigPlanet to feature Trophy support

Media Molecule Co-Founder and Technical Director, David Smith, has confirmed the inclusion of Trophy support in the developer’s highly anticipated PlayStation 3 title, LittleBigPlanet.

Speaking with Eurogamer during a live chat, Smith commented, "We've been having a lot of fun working out what trophies most fit our game. Because we have this catchphrase of 'Play, Create, Share', the trophies (and indeed some of the other scoring systems) reflect this.”

He also touched on the requirements for unlocking one of the game’s trophies, stating that players would have to make their "sackperson be thrown at some huge velocity," suggesting that a user created machine would be needed to accomplish the task.

LittleBigPlanet is due out exclusively on PS3 later this year.

HALO COMING TO PLAYSTATION 3?

The title says Halo, not Halo 3 which means we’re talking about the movie adaptation of the videogame. According to PS3Fanboy, there’s a rumor going that the Fox movie company has picked up the license rights for the upcoming Halo movie which is being produced by Peter Jackson.

Update: It’s come to our attention that Fox doesn’t have anything to do with the movie. The videogame merchandise will be handled by Fox apparently.

Now the funny part is that Fox is exclusively releasing their high definition videos on Blu-ray discs, which means that Playstation 3 owners can watch this movie on their consoles, whilst Xbox 360 gamers have to settle with the DVD version instead. Microsoft also explicitly stated that they won’t release a Blu-ray add-on drive. Microsoft does have the Video Marketplace which is also offering high definition content, but that’s plagued with 2-week DRM annoyances. Keep in mind that this is still a rumor, but it would definitely be quite funny that Microsoft’s most popular videogame franchise’s movie-adaptation is limited to Blu-ray.

I posted several things here on firmware 2.4 even though we are all aware of it by now because we ps3 fans have been screaming for IN-GAME FEATURES for some time. Not to make any excuses for Sony cuz the shit should have been there at launch, but we can now see the importance of delays when it comes to firmware and games. I would rather wait for a GREAT GAME (MGS4) instead of them releasing Turok like they did. I know some of you will say, "HAZE" but that's an exception to the rule and best believe the Crew is going to smash that game as well as developers putting out this ported frame rate shit. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. Back to what I was saying about waiting. Delays in games are inevitable and delays in firmware updates are CRUCIAL, cuz I want my shit to work.
