Well we got trophies.......kinda

Well we got 2.40 finally or should I say,"2.41." I still feel lost with the lack of trophies cause as of now Super Stardust HD is the only game that is supporting it. There is suppose to be updates for (Uncharted: Drakes Fortune,Pain,Burnout Paradise) and more to come. I guess we'll just have to sit and wait for more updates......

KONAMI Files Lawsuit Against MTV, Viacom, and Harmonix

Ok we all know you’ve been busy banging your drums, playing your toy guitars, and losing your vocals to the worlds hottest rockstars’ in what was to be known as the revolutionary game Rock Band. But it might not have been as revolutionary as we thought. Through out the downloading of add-on songs and the thousands if not millions of hours playing Rock Band a lawsuit has surffaced; stating that Rock Band has an uncanny resemblance to KONAMI’s 1999 game Guitar Freaks. Wait a minute. There was a guitar game before Guitar Hero? Apparently yes there was…

With these two games KONAMI plans to file a lawsuit against MTV, Harmonix, and Viacom. This lawsuit will compinsate for the losses of KONAMI, which had pattents for the guitars in Guitar Freaks. Also this would make Viacom stop producing more of these guitars and drums. As these infringe patents of KONAMI. As for now all we can do is hope they settle on an agreement so our drum sets can be fixed if they break.

Lips vs. Singstar

We tend to focus on primarily Playstation news, but I thought this was real news worthy especially with E3 in a few days from now. XBOX is talking of releasing a karaoke game that will be in direct competition with Singstar. We always report the truth here and if they implement things correctly I believe it will surpass what Singstar is doing. Already we can see the wireless mics which will be interactive, and if they enable the game to where you can sing your downloaded music from your hard drive I'm sold. Above are the first photos of the mics for Xbox 360 developed by Japanese studio iNiS (Elite Beat Agents). We hope to get more information of Lips during E3.

MGS4 PS3 Sales Up 4,003%

Yes thats right. The Metal Gear Solid 4 Playstation 4 Bundle has shot up in sales by 4,033% at Amazon .com.
( news. punch jump .com )says "The bundle, which includes Konami Inc.’s latest Metal Gear Solid entry, held a 4,033 percent sales increase by Thurs. afternoon to rank at No. 6 in the Video Games division."The sales increase happened when Amazon restocked with the bundles that cost $499 and you get a copy of the game and a Dualshock 3 controller and of course the 80GB PS3.Metal Gear Solid 4 is the latest entry in the top-selling stealth action franchise. The new title is said to be Snake's final mission in an attempt to foil Liquid Snake and his army.

Siren Blood Curse Story Trailer

This is the story trailer of Siren Blood Curse comming summer 2008, I have played and beat the demo as of yesterday. I must say I will be picking up this title, I guess its because I like scary games like condemned 2. For gamers that love horror games, this is a must buy. The controls are great, gameplay is great and from what I've seen in the trailer and in the demo the story is great also. Besides being a fan of horror games it can add a different taste to your gaming collection, right?

Also there will be 2 new CHARACTERS THAT WILL BE PLAYABLE! Meryl Silverburgh & Johnny (AKIBA)
Meryl Silverburgh can raise the spirits of her teammates nearby so they can recover Psyche. She can also help unconscious teammates wake up faster which is good because it takes a while for people to wake up online. Meryl is also excellent with her Handgun Skill, which reduces recoil when firing handguns and decreases reload time.
Johnny (AKIBA) is an expert at disarming traps. All traps on the stage will be shown on his screen. Press the ‘Triangle’ button to disarm the surrounding traps and turn them into items.

PAIN! Amusement Park

PAIN! The physics based game that is downloadable on the PSN store has a New Video of Amusement Park, featuring new multiplayer and trophies on GAMETRAILERS. I have yet to buy this game and I've been dying to get it and I haven't got around to it. When this update and Map pack comes I will definitely get this game.

Why PS3 games install

The reason as to why a certain amount of Playstation 3 games require an install. Its because its quicker to read the game data from the hard drive rather than the Blu-Ray disc. This also means shorter loading times during gameplay. "I bet your now thinking does that mean every game will be installed to the hard drive", the answer is no. Look at Call of Duty 4 and Uncharted Drake’s Fortune, they didn’t require an install and ran fantastically well. Game developers are working around this by taking a more pro-active approach to Blu-Ray’s data transfer technology. Some are working with streaming methods that load data while your playing, others are duplicating frequent required data around the disc so it can be located and loaded up faster.

Chief software architect at Eutechnyx, Dr Andrew Perella says:
“The biggest benefit of loading data from hard drive as opposed to Blue-ray is that the seek times are lower. Games that make use of lot of user customisations are hit hard by this as the developer cannot know ahead of time what will need to be loaded”

Pete Hines of Bethesda, the vice president of public relations and marketing says:
“we get around it by doing caching to the hard drive behind the scenes. And yes, we do have more than one copy of data on the disc in different locations to make the streaming process faster.”

Square's Line Up...NO FANTASY!

Square Enix has posted their OFFICIAL line up for E3 on N4G. I reviewed the list and I'm not a huge RPG fan, but what caught my eye right away when browsing through the list of games to be released and on what system, there was no mention of the FINAL FANTASY GAMES for the PS3...SQUARE STEP YA GAME UP! ;)
